Koro A, at Koro Koro. At a meeting of the .Kilbirnie Residents' Cricket Club -held last night in Heginbotham's Hall the following officers were" elected: — President, Mr.- H. D. Crawford; Vice-Presidents, Mr. T. Wilford, M.H.R., Mr. Buxke, and Captain Holt; Captain, Mr. C. F. Dowsett ; Vice-Cap-tain, Mr. A. J. CarsweH ; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. F. A. Tregelles. A ground committee and a canvassing committee were appointed, and arrangements were made to hold a public meeting next week to arrange for the official opening of the season. At the annual meeting of the Horokiwi Valley Cricket Club, the report showed that the club's last season was fairly successful, ton matches being played, of which seven were won. The baiting trophy was won by Len Smith with an average of 13.9, while C. Blackey headed the bowling averages with 33 wickets at a cost of 4.10 per wicket. Mr. James Walker was elected President; Messrs. J. Pearce, A. Wall, C. Carter, T. Smith, W. Slace, ,G. Jones, and A. Abbott, Vico-Presidenta ; Mr. E. Boulton, Captain; Mr.Q. Hams,. Treasurer ; and Mr. W. A. Blackey, Secretary. The trophies will be presented at the club's ball on the 9th November. The club intends to tour the Wanganui district during the coming season.
