ANXIETY ABOUT OVERDUE VESSELS.
, —^ [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, 6th February. Some anxiety is felt for the safety of the little steamer Swan, which left here on the 14th January for Wellington. News received from Lord Howe Island states she called there on 20th January short of coal, and resumed her voyage on the 26th. Gisbobne, 6th February. The barquentine River Hunter, bound from Gisborne to Mercury Bay, is three weeks out to-day. Her protracted passage is causing considerable concern.
