NEW ZEALAND TEAM v. OTAGO. [BY TELEGEAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Dunbdin, 30th January. The cricket match New Zealand v. thirteen of Otago concluded to-day, resulting in a win for the New Zealand team by seven wickets. The weather was showery in the morning, but cleared up in the afternoon. After the close of the representative team's first innings for 111, Olago went to the wickets, and with a rapidly-drying ground, batting 11 men, $cored 37. Siedeberg made 11, Austin 13, Rattray (not out) 8, and Wilkie, Williams, and Harkness 1 each. Reese was. unplayable, and he secured nine wickets for 14 runs, Upham taking one for 6. Requiring 32 to win, the New Zealand team hit them up for the loss of three wickets. D. Reese made 10, Cobcroft aud Baker 5 each, U. Mills (not out) 9. T. Downes took one wicket for 12 runs, Geddes on c lor 10, and Hope one for 7. Oriental v. Hairdressers. — Oriental — Bfillman, France, Fulton, Judd, Laws, Meston, Murphy, Payne, Perrin, Scott, Truscott; emergency, Pearce. The fixtures for the second round of the Wednesday Competition are as follows :—: — Ist and Bth February — Combined Drapers v. Jewellers, Oriental v. Hairdressers, Kirkcaldie & Stains v. Tradesmen. 15th and 22nd February — Combined Drapers v. Hairdressers, Kirkcaldie & Stains v. Jewellers!, Tradesmen v. Oriental. Ist and Bth March — Combined Drapers v. Tradesmen, Hairdressers v, Jewellers, Oriental v. Kirkealdie & Stains. 23rd March and 12th April — Kirkcaldie & Stains v. Hairdressers, Tradesmen v. Jewellers, Oriental v.
