TERRIFIC WEATHER ON THE QUEENSLAND COAST.
, TWO MEN DROWNED. [PEESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received January 31, 1.25 a.m.) Brisbane, 30th January. Terrible weather is being experienced along the Queensland coast. The telegraph lines are down in all directions. A severe cyclone swept over Townsville, but no details of the damage done are to hand. A sailing boat was capsized at Gladstone, and Mr. Smith, an assistant at the meat works, ami Mr. Braddon, Secretary to the Central Queensland Corporation, were drowned. Mr. Curtis, a Police Magistrate, swam ashore.
