THE DREYFUS SENSATION.
WHO SHALL DECIDE? PREMIER DUPUY WOULD UTILISE THE WHOLE COURT. [press association.] (Received January 30, 9.10 a.m.) Pabis, 29fch January. The Premier (M. Dupuy) proposes to refer the question of the revision of the Dreyfus case to the entire Court of Cassation as distinct from the Criminal Section of the Court, which has so far had it in hand. He asserts that a roport submitted by M. Mazeau, First President of the Court, upon the charges made by M. Beaurepaire, the Judge who lately resigned, shows that it would be unwise to rely solely upon the Criminal Section. [A motion to the same effect as the idea now apparently taken up by the Premier was before the Chamber of Deputies only a few days ago, and a proposal to give it precedence over other business was, so the cable informed us, eagerly rejected.]
Every day (says the Paris correspondent of the St. James's Gazette on Bth December) produces a new revelation in connection with the Dreyfus case. Maitre Labori learnt to-day that a quantity of letters which had passed between the late Colonel Henry and ex-Major Esterhazy, proving that extensive monetary transactions had taken place between the two, were doposited in a bank, situated in the- Rue Grange-Bateliere. The judicial authorities have issued orders for the seizure of this correspondence, which will constitute an important element of evidence in the investigation which the Supreme Court is at present undertaking.
