THE MANXMAN AND RECHABITES.
The Rechabites have a strong following in the Isle of Alan.. At the foundation of a now Tent recently one of the speakers said that in the Isle of Man every fifth adult male, and nearly a third of the members of the House of Keys, were Rechabites. The principles of the Order seem to have ingrained themselves into the Alanx constitution, and appeared to suit the characteristics of the Alanx people, Avhich are — independence, thrift, and brotherly sympathy.
