London, 25th September. The Observer, the English paper which stated a few days ago that Major Esterhazy had confessed to extensive forgery of documents in connection with the Dreyfus case, has now published a further statement. It says that Major Eslerhazy declares that he wrote the bordereau at the request of Colonel Saudherr, one of the members of the courtmartial which tried Captain Dreyfus, and who has since died. The document was intended to constitute material proof of Drey.fuss gujlt, the Military Intelligence Department merely possessing moral proof agaiust Dreyfus.
