ADJUSTABLE HANDLE BARS. Ahi> modern cycles are nowadays fitted with adjustable handle bars, to enable riders to adjust the bar at the correct angle for comfortable riding. At the top of the stem at the handle bar a lug is fixed, in which the handle bar is gripped by a clamping bolt. This is an extremely safe fastening-, as thero is no chance of the stem of the handle bar breaking owing to the cap-joint being weak at the junction of the stem and bnr. For hilly country this part of the machine must be secure, and positively sale.
