[by telegraph.— own correspondent.] Cal&ertqn, This Day. The annual meeting of, the Wairarapa Horticultural Society', was. held yesterday afternoon. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £6- 16s 7d and total expenditure for past season £105 11s 3d. It was decided that the' Show 1 be held on the last Thursday in November. The following officers werw elected :— Patron, Mr. ¥, C. Buchanan, M.H.R.;,Presi'dent, Mr. H. S. Izurd ; Vice-Presidents — Messrs H. H. Beetham, W*. G. Beard, H. 11. Bunny, 11. Braithwaite.T. Kempton, jun., A, Matthews, A. Booth : Committee— Messrs N. B. Allen, J. Brown', C. U, Cormack, G. W. Deller, E. Eagle, jun., W. Miller, J. G. Gates, W. M'Kenzie, R. N. Sayer, S. C. Skelley, Jas. Snell, and J. Strang ; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr E. W. Dorset. Masterton, This Day. The measles epidemic has reached Masterton, a number of persons being down with the disease in a mild form. The Masterton Building Society's balancesheet, just issued, shows a profit for the half-year of 8 per cent.
