THE NELSON POISONING CASE.
GREAT EXCITEMENT IN THE TOWN [BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, sth Juty. The inquest on the mysterious death of Miss Stoney was resumed to-day, a setirchiug enquiry being made, owing to the presence of arsenio in the deceased's stomach. Mrs. Bristow, sister of the deceased, examined in bed, deposed that she had a suspicion that her sister had been poisoned by those who had attempted to fire the premises a few days previous to Saturday, 18th June. She named a young man as the person suspected, and probably he will be called. The inquest is likely to extend over tomorrow. Mr. Skey's evidence as to the analysis of the stomach is yet to come. Altogether 25 witnesses will have to be examined. There is great excitement in town regarding the mystery.
