♦ INTERPROVINCIAL. The Zingari-Richmond Football Club (Dunedin) claims to be the only senior team in New Zealand with a one-armed player in its ranks. . t Mr. D. L. Maxwell has been appointed secretary to the Union Steam Ship Company Mutual Benefit Society. There were over 50 applicants for the post, including one lady. ! The wharf labourers of Dunedin have formed themselves into a union. Forty-six men have enrolled their names to begin with.
A country constable who was drafted into Dunedin at the time of the Jubilee, lost himself one night while on duty, and had to ask a passer-by the way to the Police Station.
