CRUEL TREATMENT OF AFRICAN NATIVES.
FORTY-FIVE VILLAGES BURNED.
[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] London, 14th May. The missionaries in the Congo State are making complaint of the cruel treatment to which the natives are being subjected. Persons engaged in the rubber trade, the missionaries declare, are answerable for the burning of 45 villages in one district.
