AN EX-NEW ZEALAND CLERGYMAN DROWNED. [ PRESS ASSOCIATION.] SYDNEY, 13th May.
The body of the Rev. William M'Rae, a Presbyterian clergyman, was found in the harbour to-day. He arrived from New Zealand a few months ago, and since then he has been temporarily in charge of a church at Gunnedah, and was visiting the city on church business. At the inquest an open verdict was returned. Auckland, This Day. The Rev. ¥m. M'Rae, drowned at Sydney, was well-known at Waipu, Auckland, where he laboured many years in the Presbyterian Church. He was a native of Scotland, and came out to New Zealand 25 years ago. He was an excellent Gaelic preacher and much esteemed. He has a daughter living at Waipu, and a sister at New Plymouth. He was a widower.
