THE CONTINENTAL DOCKERS' STRIKE.
♦ A GENERAL STRIKE IN HAMBURG. [press association, j Hamburg, 4th December. A general strike lias beenproclaimed here. One thousand labourers have gone out. It is feared that the leaders in Antwerp will adopt similar measures. Hundreds of Berlin police have been sent here to assist in preserving order. I 6th December. The employers state that the dockers of England have advised the acceptance of the terms offered to the strikers, though it is only a semblance of success, and though the men will have better prospects when Mr, Tom Mann has organised the ports on the Continent. . Brussels, sth. December, The Chamber of Deputies has rejected a motion tabled condemning the attitude of the Government in expelling from Antwerp the British Labour delegates who were advocating a strike. The members of the Government intimated that they were determined that foreigners be not allowed to disturb the peace.
