ATTEMPTED MURDER ON BOARD SHIP.
THR ASSAILANTS THROWN OVERBOARD AND DROWNED. ffKieas association | (Received December 2, 11 a m.) Thursday Island, Thib Day. Anderson, master of the lugger Dart, reports that three coloured men, forming a portion of his crew, attempted to murder him Two Malays came to the rescue, and after a fierce struggle, during which Anderson fell into the sea and was almost drowned, the assailants were thrown overboard. All three are supposed to havo been drowned.
