The Imprest Supply Bill (No. 3) and Invercargill Corporation Reserve Exchange Bill passed all stages. FAMILT HOHBB PROTECTION. The Counoil insisted upon its amendments in this Bill, and the Hon. Ihe Margarine Bill was read a seoond time and referred to the Stock Committee, on the motion of the Minister for Lands. It requires the licensing of margarine faotories, and that all margarine De marked accordingly. SALE OF GOODS. The Premier moved the socond reading of the Sale of Goods Bill, whioh, he Baid, was a codification of common law, based on the Imperial Act of 1893. Sir Itobert Stout considered the principle of consolidation should be extended. This Bill would bo of great value to the commeroial community. The motion was agreed to. CORBUPT FBACTICEB PBBVENTION. This Bill was committed on the motion of the Premior, and progress immediately roported, Mr. Buchanan saying the House would only consider one Bill— the Bank Bill-that day. Evening Sitting. The debate on the second reading of the Bank Bill oooupied till 6.10 a.m. to-day, when tho House adjourned.
