It is alleged that he was first married in Sydney and then in Patea. where he left his seoond wife, after livinpr with her a fortnight, on the plea of escaping from the payment of debts be had oontraoted. Oheyne, North Inveroargill, last night, destroyed the entire premises and the stook ; also the store of Miss Gibson, whose stook, however, was removed. Mr. Cbeyna was owner of both buildings, and had an insurance of £1000 in the New Zealand offloe on his own, bnt the insurance on the other and on his stook is not known. Mibs Gibson's stook was insured for £100 in the New ZeaUnd office.
