NEW BUILDINGS IN THE CITY.
The tender of Mr. James Trevor, at about .£2OOO, has been accepted for the erection of the warehouse whioh Messrs. D. Benjamin and Co. have deoided to put up on the vacant section in Victoria-street next to Messrs. D. Virtue & Co *s new premises. The building, whioh is to be ereoted in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Mr. James Hislop, arohiteot, of Dunedin, will bo" two stories high, and will have a frontage of Messrs. R. Carmiohael k Sons are the successful tenderers for tho ereotiou of Messrs. Kempthorne, Prosser & Co.'s new warehouse of four stories at the corner of Viotoria and Willeston streets. Mr. "Hielop also prepared the plans and specifications for this bnilding. The contract prioe is about £4000.
