Brnin, who has arrived from Paris with a commission from the French Government to enquire into the exportation of Australian produce to Franoe, states that refrigerating depots have been established throughout France, and there ia every prospeat of founding an extensive trade in frozen meat between Franoe and Australia. Frozen rabbits, he states, would also receive a large share of attention from French importers if the difficulties in regard to packing could be satisfactorily overcome. London, 22nd August. Messrs. Bergyl and Brabbiu are opening 100 shops in London for the sale of Australian meat.Chbibtchubch, 23rd August. A looal firm of solicitors, acting on bohalf of a largo English firm, has issued a writ against one of the Canterbury dairy companies, olaiming damages in respeot of the alleged inferiority of butter supplied from the oompany's factory for shipment to England during last season. The Christohuroh-Meat Company and the Canterbury, Frozen Meat - Company have entered into freight contracts with the New Zealand Shipping and- Shaw, Savill, and Albion Companies, whioh came into offeot at once. The freights ar,e now to be }d per lb winter and summer, and the first boat under the oontraot is the Taiuui.
