THE COMPETING RAILWAY TRAINS. [BT JLIOTBIO TJ.&IQBAPH.— COPTBIOHT.] fPEIBS ASSOCIATION.] London, 23rd August. The express train travelling by tpo East Coast from Lobdon to Aberdeen has covered .the distance, 540 miles, in 520 minutes, thus beating the performance of its rival, the North-Western Caledonian express, whioh ran the 540 miles in 533 minutes. Field-Marshal Lord Eoborts has accepted the Kaiser'sinvitation to witness the autumn manccuvresof the German troop'satStemmen. Sixty thousand troops will tako part in the manoeuvres. (Received August 24, 10.30 a.m.) London, 23rd Augnst. The North- Western train ran from Aberdeen 540 miles in 512 minutes.
