The jury found tbat the vessel was wrongly navigated, but -that no blame attaohed to Mr. Langfear, the second officer. Previous to the verdiot a telegram was read from the gentleman who adjusted the compasses, stating that the deviation was ■ three degrees easterly, whioh would make • an error of 12£deg. easterly. This would have put the steamer considerably further > off the land.
