The motion deolaring that Daly, who had been returned as member for Limeriok City, was incapable of taking his Beatiu the House of Commons was proposed by Sir Biohard Webster, Attorney - General, who deolared that the reason of Daly's rejection was that he was guilty of treason-telony, but that really he was of the same olasß as tho common garotter. He said it was impossible to prooeed by petition, and tbat the only course was to declare the eleotion invalid. Mr. Cianoy asked that a Selaot Committee should enquire into the matter, but Sir 14. Webster took no notice of the proposal. \ <
