Mr. Bradbury, of Sydney, one of the pioneers of the live stook export trade, has returned from a visit to the ahief consuming centres in England made with the view of ascertaining the prospeots of trade. In the course of an interview he said there was a tremendous opening for Australian oattle if handled properly and oarefnlly shipped. The Amerioan trade was falling off largely, and Australia should be prepared to fill the vaoAuoy. Tho underwriters were prepared to offer liberal terms for insurance it assured that proper care is taken in handling and shipping beasts. Ibey were very sanguine of the future of the Australian trade, and though the export ■ does not pay now, as things work into the proper groove it will prove a paying oonoern. The question is one of suon importance, and means smoh an all-round development of 'trade, tbat it is .well worthy of support by the colonial Governments. With referenoe to sheep for the English market he strongly recommends the culture of Shropshire orossbreds. The great want of the English butobers is a nuggety crossbred lamb, for whioh there is an unlimited demand.
