BSFBBBINTATIVI PEAOtICE. The Representative match at Newtown Park was witnessed by a large number of people. The ground was dead, but Borne exoellent form was shown by members of both A and B teams. The A team quiokly forced a corner, which was admirably taken by M'Leod, bnt nothing further resulted, and play settled down to the give-and-take order for some time. Hailwood put in some good work, and getting well down the field, paßsed to Ferkins, who Boored a pretty goal. Later on the B's gave hands and Courtney took the kiok, bnt Ferkina just missed, the ball striking the bar. The Colours now made a determined effort, and hands were allowed just outside the A 25's. Gamble took the kiok well, and Courtney, in endeavouring to olear, headed the ball through. Plnnderleitb, on' the "outside left, was playing the best forward game on the field, and several times put in some splendid centres, bnt Andrews and Anld oleared with sound judgment. At last Cowden blocked a beanty and shot past Bell. In the seoond spell the play fell off considerably. Hailwood scored cleverly, and Hill got a goal just before time was called. All the A team played well, as did the B team baotcs, especially Auld, Andrews, and Abbott. The final seleotion will be posted on the Evening Post window at 5.30 JUNIOR CPP. ' Thorndon met and defeated the Swifts by 6to 1. A. Weils and W. Clark, 3 Roils eaoh, scored for Thorndon, as did Overend for the Swifts. ___^_____
