Young Windon, who was employed at Stewart Dawson & Co 's premises, and was 1 arrested in oonnection with the recent robbery of jewellery there, has pleaded ' Guilty to tbe robbery. Sentence standß de- > ferred. The others charged with being implicated pleaded Not Guilty, and they have been remanded until the next sessions. (Received AugUst 17, 11.45 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. The agents have been advised that the Patban has been chartered to take up the trip of the Catterthun ; also that a new steamer is building for the trado between the East and Australia. | Fifteen hundred cases of tea for Sydney I on board the Orient, spoiled by water, have been condemned. It is believed that many oases for Melbourne and New Zealand still undischarged are in the same condition.
