Auckland, 15th August. The Auckland representative footballers lef(j to day by the Flora. 1 heir nimes are as follow :— lt Maßefiold, F. Furman, O. Kiley, D. Clayton, H. Absalom, A. E. Braund, F. .Kdmonda, J. Bonayne, H. Stepbenssn, Brady, Gitto3, F. Murray, C. Speight, T. Clarken, M. M'Millau, J. Brown, J. Mills, H. Wbitloy, Evitt, J. Marlin, Green. W T. Wynyard and several other players were unable to go. Wynyard's place 'will be filled by D. Gage, who leaves on Monday, and will overtake the team at Timaru or Dunedin. The team generally is considered very weak, and not much hope is entertained of its being successful in the larger towns or against Taranaki. The forwards are very fair, but the back division is weak. The following are the dates :— Hawkea Bay, 17th ; South Canterbury, 20th ; Otago, 24th; Canterbnry, 29th; Wellington, 31st; Nelson, 2nd September ; Taranaki, 6th. The Ngsi tv Aburiri team, which won the Canterbury Rugby Union Jnnior Flag competition, came from the Sonth by the Takapuna this morning to play a series of matches in the Wairarapa The team was met on arrival by several country enthusiasts and representatives of the native race. The Wellington College and Wauganui Collegiate School 'first fifteens play here on the 23rd inst. The Wanganui team leaves for Christchurob the same night, plays Christ College on the 27th, after whioh it journeys to Dunedin, to meet an engagement with the Dunedin High School. On the 26th inst. the Wellington and Neleon College teams will try conclusions in Wellington, both fifteens leaving tho same night for the South. The Wellington College plays Christ College on 6th September and Christchurch High Sohool on the 9th, and returns to Wellington on the following day. Tho Wanganui Collegiate School is sending a third fifteen team to Napier on Wednesday, to meet engagements with two Hawkes. Bay f ohool teams. The representative trial matoh (Association) to be held on Newtown Park on Saturday should prove very interesting, as both teams are strong, particularly in the baok division. The collection to be taken at the gates is to be devoted to defraying the expenses of the team.
