Palucrston Nobth, This Dat. Yesterday Mr. H. Smith, of Manukau, cut his foot from toes to heel while chopping wood, and was brought to the Hospital here. Mastrrton, This Day. The painting-room and office of the Masterton Blacksmith and Wheelwright Manufacturing Company were gutted by fire l»st evening. The building was insured for JEISO. Ltzm., This Dat. Mr. Q. P. Wright, Legal Manager of the United Alpine, Low Level, and Cocksparrow companies, died of hoart disease to-day. He hod been unwell for three months. His age was 33, and he leaves a widow and two ohildren.
