(Our Own Correspondent.) Havilock, This Day. In oonneotion with the proposed working of the old Wakamarina Eiver bed, there was held on Saturday night the largeat mining meeting known here for years. The report of the Committee appointed on the provioui Saturday was favonrable in all respeot*. It was resolved to float a company of .£lO,OOO, of whioh is to be issued forthwith. The Provisional Directors were appointed, and it is expeotad that in about a month work will qommenoe. AeumotJXO towards the preliminary expenses of floating the company was Bubioribed by those pre< ■ent.
