The police received information from ; Karioi on Saturday night that a man named "W bit more, who had been keeping a private school at Oakuno, cleared out on Friday ; night with all he could la; his hands on, also taking two boys named Jewell, aged IX and 14 respectively. He has been traced towards 1 Tanpo through the snow, and it is believed that the boys have perished with cold, i No reason is apparent for tho man's aotion. A constable has been sent from here at onoe, and search parties are out from Karioi. _^_____^_^__
