Another Consignment of French Convicts.
4 [PBES3 ASSOCIATION. I (Boooived July 29, 0.30 p.m.) Stdnet, This Dat. It was recently stated that the Frcnoh Government had deoided to discontinue sending convicts to New Caledonia. The Tanais, however, brings news to the effeot that preparations were being made in France to send another consignment of prisoners by the transport Calodonie, whioh, it is understood, left Franoe on the 11th June. It is mentioned that the despatoh of this lot is unavoidable, as they are required to complete the new penal station.
