OBITUARY. MR, R. H. LEARY, OF DUNEDIN.
IBt Telegraph. — Press Association.. Dctnidin, This D^t. Mr. B. H. Leary, ex-Mayor of Dunedin, died in London yesterday. [Mr. Leary was one of the best known and most respected business men in Dunedin, whare he settled some 30 years ago. He has been several times Mayor of the city, and the mission on whioh he was engaged in England at the time of his death was the consolidation of Corporation loana. The last mail brought news that, a oold whioh soized him soon after arrival in London had developed into a serious affection of the chest, but a cable message which was interpreted as being reassuring reached his family two or three weeks ago. Mrs. Leary is a sister of Mr. J H. Pope, Inspector of Native Schools. Deceased leaves a family of 15ohildren.|
