CROWN COLONY MINISTERS. [BY XLXOTBIO TUCQBAPH. — OOPTBIOHT.I fPBSSS ASSOCIATION.] London, 15th May. Mr. Bui ton,. Parliamentary Seoretary to the Colonial Office, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said the Government had no intention of conferring the title of Honourable on Ministers in Crown oolonies. (Eeooived May 16, 10.20 a.m.) London, 15th May. It ii stated that the oapital of the Tokatea Gold Mining Company of Coromandel has been aubaonbod. The deputation from the Chambers of Commerce, whioh proposed to wait on the Premier, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Postmaster-General, on Friday, in support of the resolution carried at the Canadian Conference to urge that subsidies be paid to the Faoifio steamers and cable, has hesn postponed for a week. Mr. John Kogors has succeeded in the suit for divorce from his wife— the well-known aotress, Minnie Palmer— on the grounds of adultery with Jarrard, manager of the " My Sweetheart" Company.
