The Times states that it is rumoured that the Scotch Banks will assist tbe Australian reconstructed Banks to meet interest on deposits. Sydney, 18th January. The Australian Joint Stock Bank, during the current half-year, intends to prepay the first instalment of the extended deposits, thus anticipating the due date by a conple of years.
