A DANGEROUS PRACTICE. TO THE EDITOR.
Sib — The Australian Star recently printed the following in its leading columns: — "We have already in existence a by-law threatening with pains and penalties the people guilty of throwing fruit skins on the pavements. This is a dangerous as well as unsavoury praotine, and numerous instances have occurred of serious and painful acoidonts which have happened in Consequence. .... A few convictions of people guilty of perpetrating the fruit-skin nuisance would be of considerable value to the community." Could not such a by-law be passed in Wellington? Perhaps the Municipal Conference will take the matter in hand and see what can bo done. People may say it is a small sin, but there often lodges Much in Little.
