Sir— The Counoil of the Wellington Football Association have taken a strange stand in connection with the representative team. They appointed a Match Committee to pick the team. They did bo a fortnight ago, and a fine middle they have made of it. They put to one side an ex-rep, and a good man ta -%J?S2B' ,^ nd P ut Glover >b his place,
who is not good onough for a senior team, far loss a rop. team. Tho team as a wiiole is far from rep. form. As to Hailwood, he never asked for expenses. Could they not pay his oxpenses aa well as De Lisle's P They might bare given a "Wellington man a show instead of an outsider. I think the Match Committee has been influenced by a majority of the Football Association Council, and the sooner there is new blood introduced in the Association the better it will be for the game in "Wellington. My idea of the team as it should be is— Jacks, goal; Shields, Muir, backs; Richardson, Gamblo, Martin, halves ; Fraser, Ferguson, right wing ; Hailwood, centre; M'Lauohlan and Stuart, left wing, lam, &0., Outsider.
