WEST COAST LIB EL CASES. [By Telegraph. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Wkstpobt, 31st August. An information for libel has been laid by Mr. Harden, solicitor, against Mr. Fergus Munro, for an alleged libel oontained in a correspondent's letter over the signature " Argus," whioh was published iv the Eveniug Star. Thg letter reflected on the solicitors who appeared for Dr. Wright iv the recent aotion Ferguson v. Wright in the Distriot Court, when a verdiot was given for the plaintiff for i>2so. Dr. Wright has also instructed a solicitor to proceedagainst the proprietors of the Star for ft libel alleged to be aontained in another correspondent's letter bearing on the same aotion. The information against Mr. Mnnro is to be heard in the Magistrate's Court on 10th September.
