The work, ing manager turned out all tho hands, numbering about 40, to suppress the outbreak. This was found to be impossible, owing to the quantity of tallow (about (50 or 70 casks) üblazo. Ihe fire was confined to the large building iv whicli it broke out, containing the tallow and bone departments.. The loss in buildings, stook, and plant amounts to sevoral thousand pounds. Later. Mr. Hellaby estimates the logs on the building, plant, and stook at .£3444. Tho property is insured in the North Gorman Offioe for .£2500.
