Women in Municipal Affairs. [By Telegraph.] [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Auckland. 31st August. Mrs. Endean, wife of the licensee of the Waitemata Hotel, contemplates standing for the Graf ton Ward at the Municipal elections. Mr. Powley, the sitting member, has offered to retire in her favour. She has a good deal of oity property, and is a woman of muoh force of character. Her opponent will be Mr. Richard Gar lick, of Garlick and Lyons.
