SHEARING TROUBLES.
♦ RELEASE OF THE BELEAGUERED MEN. IDNITID PRESS ASSOCIATION. I Sidney, 31st August. The free labourers, after being cooped up in the goods-shed at the railway station at Hay for 70 hours, got away without muoh trouble to-day. Only six of their number seceded and joined the Unionist ranks. The Government has issued a proclamation warning law-breakers in the disturbed districts that strict measures will be taken to preserve order.
