The series of twelve competitions for the St. Andrew's Cross by the Hutt Golf Club las been completed. The result of the last ¦was:— Dr. Purdy, 101 (less handicap, 27), act 74 j Dr. Coates, 98— 19, 79 jD. B. Howden (scratch), 83 ; D. Pryde (sorfttoh), 85 ; B. Hertslet, 98 (less handicap, 11), net 87 : -J.G. Wilson, 108-20, 88; W. A. FitahorTiert, 112—20, 92; R. Wilson, 102—3 94M. Chapman, 126— 50, 96. Other players ' entered, but preferred to lie low as to their t sooreß. The player making the most wins : in the twelve months is Mr. D. Pryde, who ' won the Cross fonr oonssoutive times, and ' will reoeivo a handsome prize for his prowess " from the club. The other winners in order of merit are— Mr. W. Pryde, 8 ; Mr. D. B. Howden, 2 ; Dr. F. W. Coates, Mr . H. Hertslet - aad Dr. Purdy, 1 eaoh. The spring meeting of the Golf Club takes place in September, on which oooasion Mr. A. H. Turnbull's cup, : the first of the next series of monthly Cross ' competitions, and a "Colonel Bogey "'match : for three prizes of golf material to be presented by tho Club, will make up the programme. The ghostly " Colonel's " marvellously steady score will again be 90 for the 18 holes.
