WELLINGTON BEATS THAMES.

The representative football match between Thames and Wellington took plaoe to-day, and after a keenly contested game resulted in a win for the visitors by 5 points to 3. For Wellington, Bennett secured a try. which was converted by Campbell; whilst the points scored for Thames were gained by G. Paul from a penalty kick. Notwithv standing its defeat, the Thames team had deoidedly the best of the game, and narrowly escaped sooring several times. The weather th moot nnpropitious.
