Evisiko Post Office, Thursday Afternoon Frsiman B. Jackson and Co. report as follows:— At Johnsonrille, yesterday, the cattle entered were of fairly good quality. The bidding wan brisk for all descriptions of stock, beef improving Is per 1001b. Cattle— Best bullocks, £8 to £9 10s ; others, £7 10s to JE7 l7s 6d, equal to 20a per 1001b. Sheep— Wethers, 13s 6d to 17s j light mixed wethers, Us 6d to Its 4d ; ewes, 10s 0d to 13s 6d. Pigs— Small baconers, 33s to 44s s light porkers, 15s to 19s ; young pigs, 10s to 11s 6d. F. H. Wood held his regular stock sale at the Tauherenikau yards yesterday, and reports of the Bomo as follows:— A considerable quantity of stook came forward, and there was a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was fairly spirited throughout. The following is a quotation of prices realised, riz.— Sheep— Forward wethers, lls 3d ; hoggets, 5s to 7s Od ; ewes in lamb (culls), 7s 6d. Cattle— Steers, 2} years, 77s 6d; heifers, springing, 80s to 100s; dairy cows, 90s to 140s; store cows, 40a to 60s. Horses — A few hocks sold at from £3 to £7 10s. Pigs— Porkers, 15s.
