HOUSE OF EEPBESENTATIVES. Leave of absence was granted Mr. Duthie for one week, on tho ground of ill-health. Captain Russell presented the report of the Railway Committee on the Midland Railway question. Replying to Mr. M' Go wan as to the death of the bojr Eric M'Cullough, at Auckland, tho Premier said that there was no law against giving advice., but as this oase was now before the Courts ho did not care to say anything further upon it. In reply to Mr. O'Regan, the Colonial Treasurer said the Government was oonsidering the qnestion of an import duty on wheat and flour, but nothing had been decided yet. In reply to Mr. Stevens, the PostmasterGeneral said that, if suitable rooms could be obtained, the post offices at Feilding and Huntervillo would bo moved. Replying to Mr. O'Regan, tho Premior said that an offor had been made to Colonel Fox to aot as Military Adviser, but not at a year. No reply had yet been received from Colonel Fox. I Left sitting.]
