AMERICA'S NEW TARIFF.
IT BECOMES LAW BY EFFLUXION OF TIME. THE PRESIDENT REQUIRES FURTHER REFORM. [united press association. I Washington. 28th August. The Tariff Bill became law at midnight by effluxion of time. President Cleveland declined to sign the measure, thongh admitting it was vastly superior to the M'Kinley Bill. He desires to see tho free admission of raw materials, and will wage a further fight for tariff reform. He states that the action of the Sugar Trust will never be forgotten in the United States.
