The Young Men's Christian Aasoci*tioi» rendered a " social " to the New South SVales team of footballers this evening, Then 600 persons were present, representing be various athletic bodies of Auckland. Iddresses were given by the Mayor, the *cv. Mr. Mac Murray, and Mr. J. L. Wilson, President of the Toung Men's Christian Association. Mr. Sefton, manager of the few South Wales team, responded shortly. L concert followed, and an enjoyable evenag was spent. The Selection Committee of the Auckland tngby Union has decided to play the fifteen rbich npheld Auckland football fame against few South Wale 3on Saturday, in the match 3 be played against Wellington at Epsom on aturday next.
