The Wellington football team arrived by the Tarawora at an early hour this morning', and played the first match of their tour against the Poverty Bay representatives. The match resulted in a win for the visitors by 19 points to 6. The Wellington men wont on by the Tarawera to Auckland at 1 p.m. In the first spell, Maynard and- Hooper scored tries for Poverty Bay, and for Wellington Boberts made a try, from which Wynyard placed a goal. Wellington did all the scoring in the second epell. Tries were scored by Kelly, Gago, Bonnott, and Boberts, from one of which a goal was kicked by Roberts. Mr. Caradus, of Napier, was the referee
