It is reported that the Japanese troops' have captured the King of Corea. The Chiness Government is making large purchases of war materiel in America. It is rumoured that in a naval battle with Japan the Chinese Buffered disaster. (Reoeived July 28, 2.35 p.m.) Hongkong, 27th July. The transport which the Japanese sank on Tuesday was iho Kawshung, belonging to Matheson and Co., and chartered by the Chinese to convey troops to Corea. It is reported that all on board were drowned. London, 27th July. Lord Kimberley informed the House of Lords that neither tho Chinese nor the Japanese Legation was able to confirm the report that war had been declared.
