WAS DECLARED BETWEEN CHINA AND JAPAN. [united press association. > London, 27th July. j A telegram from Shanghai states that war has aotually been deolared between China and Japan. Several Chinese warships have met with mishapß. Information is meagre, however, owing to communication with Corea being interrupted. Lloyd's have received a telegram confirming the news of the declaration of war. (special. I London, 27th July. The press nnanimously expects a peaceful solution of the Corean quarrel. The Great Powers are exchanging Notes on the subjeot.
