A meeting of the Poneke Clnb was held in the Oriental Hotel laat evening, Mr. T. R. Kllison in tbe ohair. when it was decided to make an eSort to raise .£2OO by issuing £1 debentures, bearing 5 per cent! interest, in order to establish a gymnasium in Evastreet, off Dixon-street. A committee, consisting ot the Chairman and Messrs. R. Sim, J. Pudney, W. 1\ Wynvard, W. H. Arnott, VV. White, A. Blacklock, and Thomas, was elected to arrange for the issue of tho debentures. A match has bean arranged between the first and second fifteens of the Petone and Masterton Clubs, to be played at Hatitertcn on 24th May. TO-MOBROW'S MATCHES. Petone v. At a meeting of the University Football Clnb an amendment to instrnotthe delegates to favour affiliation with the New Zealand Union was rejected by 20 to 14 in favour of a motion leaving them a free hand. To enide the delegates, a motion was carried by 24 to 7 in favour of the Ota go Union affiliating.
