EXPLOSION IN A HALL.
4 - THREE WOMEN BADLY BUBNED. MARVELLOUS ESCAPE OF AN INFANT [ONITBD PRBBB ASSOCIATION. (Received April 12, 11.20 a.m.) Stdnit, This Day. A sensational occurrence is reported from Nor. h Botany. At the Town Hall last night, during the progress of a limelight entertainment, a jar of methylated spirits exploded, severely burning three women in the audience, and a panic was narrowly averted. During tho excitement a woman threw her baby from the balcony into the body of tho hall, but the child escaped without injury. The explosion fired part of the ball, but tho flames were quickly extinguished. The women who wore burned were conveyed to the hospital.
